Winpos Arena POS System praised by the Swedish Hockey League
During the spring of 2013 the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) contacted 14 different POS suppliers. SHL wanted to speed up sales transactions, decrease technical problems and optimize the reporting processes throughout the organization. Flexibility was required of the POS supplier regarding the developmental aspect as well as integrations. Another important demand was an accessible and knowledgeable customer support.
None of the 14 POS suppliers could quite meet all the requirements on SHL:s steep list of demands. Winpos was however able to offer a solution, that met 95 % of the needs on the list. Winpos also demonstrated the ability to carry out all integrations and special functions required in SHL’s arena system.
The Swedish Hockey League has 12 arenas in Sweden with a total of 650 points of sale including ticket sales, cafés, restaurants, pubs, VIP areas, kiosks and shops. – Installations, training and implementation started in May 2013 and were successfully concluded in September 2013. We developed our arena system according to SHL’s wishes and made the integrations required for ERP-, booking- and ticket systems. The project time schedule was strict, but we managed to pull it off quite successfully thanks to good ground work and collaboration, says CEO Magnus Olsén at Winpos Sweden AB.
SHL is very happy with Winpos as POS supplier. They feel, that Winpos is a user-friendly and reliable management tool. During the busiest sales, the system is fast and stable. Concerning payment terminals, NFC, i.e. contactless payments, and the Chip & Go feature developed by Ica-Banken, have noticeably speeded up payment transactions.
The Winpos arena system received praise and good feedback immediately after the first season. Concrete statements from the clubs reveal that clubs have been able to clearly increase sales per visitor, receive better sales and result monitoring than before and experienced that the system has been very stable in offline situations.
